Played for a Purpose
Net proceeds from Bleecker Street Panto’s Cinderella will support American Theatre Wing’s The Gavin Creel Fellowships, The Colorectal Foundation and staging next year’s panto.
The Gavin Creel Fellowships
Awarded by American Theatre Wing, the organization behind the Tony Awards, the Fellowships honor the Tony-winning actor Gavin Creel. Each year they back five emerging actors at the start of their New York careers with a $25,000 grant, mentorship from working theater professionals and a place inside the industry.
A show built on the belief that everyone deserves a stage is glad to help the next generation onto theirs.
The Colorectal Foundation
The Colorectal Foundation is focused on young-onset colorectal cancer. Built from lived experience and guided by evidence, it helps younger adults recognize the disease earlier, navigate a diagnosis with clarity, and stay supported at work and in life through treatment.
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in the United States, and one of the most treatable when caught early. Screening saves lives.
Next Year’s Panto
A pantomime isn’t meant to happen once. Part of what this year’s show raises will go toward staging next year’s panto, so an annual tradition takes root on Bleecker Street: a new show, a new cast of volunteers, and more raised for good causes every December.
The simplest way to support all three is to come to the show.
Support the Show
A gift is the most direct way to help. It goes toward The Gavin Creel Fellowships, The Colorectal Foundation and staging next year’s panto.
Bleecker Street Panto is a fiscally sponsored program of Do Good Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your gift is tax-deductible and your receipt comes from them.
